Referring to the decision of the Council of Ministers No. 9 and the date of 02/01/1438, which is to establish documentation and archives centers in all government sectors called (Center for Documents and Archives) and is administratively linked to the head of the agency or his deputies, and in the interest of the university to preserve the special documents related to them since its inception and implementation For the guidance, the generous approval of his Excellency the Rector to activate the center on 28/02/1438 H. and to be characterized by the application of the system of documents and archives and its executive regulations and the collection, organization and preservation of university documents to facilitate their access to the need, as well as the dissemination of documentary awareness among the university staff.
To speed up the pace of work and start the tasks assigned to the Center, it was decided to form a permanent committee under the name (Standing Committee for Documents and Archives) on 12/04/1438 H and headed by the University Undersecretary for Development and Quality and the membership of the General Supervisor of the Center for Documents and Archives and some relevant entities and the tasks of the committee shall be as follows:
• The Committee is a key reference for university documents to ensure the optimal application of documentation and archives systems.
Supervising the validity, accuracy and completeness of the data and information provided by the Centre to the National Centre for Documents and Archives.
Supervising the work of the evaluation and destruction committees, guiding them and authorizing the results of their work.
Guidance on the work of regular, procedural and organizational studies with the aim of reducing the production of documents and eliminating the unnecessary ones.
